Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort boasts some incredible backdrops for weddings and receptions.  From the popular Alisal River Terrace (no overnight accommodations are needed to book this beautiful space) to the main ranch property Creekside, Oval Lawn, Sycamore Room, lakeside, or the incredible Historic Adobe.

The Historic Adobe is another 20 minute ride via hay truck from the main ranch and the scenery on the drive is spectacular.  While there are many more complications involved with events at the Historic Old Adobe, it can be one of the most distinct wedding experiences ever, in a truly unique setting.

While many of my couples choose to have their wedding ceremonies on the main ranch Creekside and then transport guests to the Old Adobe for a stunning reception in the evening, canopied by tall trees and gorgeous ambient lighting installed by a professional lighting designer to showcase the building and landscaping, Lindsay and Jonathan chose to say their vows on the steps of the Adobe and host an afternoon reception.  My favorite events are those where the couple’s priority is creating a memorable experience for their family and friends, and this couple chose to do just that.  With Jonathan’s proposal being just before he was deployed, the couple’s focus was on an incredibly memorable setting, delicious food, family & friends, and  each other.

Chef Pascal and his team created the following delicious, simple menu packed with powerful flavor and the style of Southern California with a little western comfort food to accent it all. Guests enjoyed: Fresh, Homemade Guacamole and Crispy Tortilla Chips with Alisal Salsa Cruda; California Mixed Greens with Balsamic Vinaigrette and Ranch Dressing; Grilled Butterfly Chicken rubbed with Chef’s Special Spices, Hickory-smoked, spice-crusted Black Angus Brisket; Homemade Macaroni and Cheese; Fresh Homemade Rolls and Butter; Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler and Vanilla Ice Cream with a Small Bride/Groom Wedding Cake, featuring Vanilla with Bavarian Berry Filling.

The Event Supply Partner Cast for this wedding included: Venue and Catering by Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort | Florals by Renae’s Bouquet | Linens & Chair Rentals:  Classic Party Rentals | Wedding Coordination by Kerry Lee Dickey, Santa Barbara Wine Country Weddings & Events | Professional Photos by Lover of Weddings
