Rustic Ranch Romance at the Historic Old Adobe at Alisal Ranch | Cassity & Matt

Blog, Real Weddings / 11.08.20160 comments

img_6513There are plenty of private ranches on which to celebrate nuptials on the Central Coast.  But when one requires elite privacy as well as an extraordinary experience for all their guests in a historical setting with world-class service from a seasoned hospitality venue, there is no other choice than Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort.

Nestled in the heart of Santa Barbara’s wine country, the Santa Ynez Valley, Alisal Ranch has been excelling in hospitality and making memories for guests since the 1940s, when the first generations of today’s loyal clientele first started arriving.  Most likely many did not know at that time that their descendants would continue to make Alisal a family tradition for many generations to come.

Catering Connection Showers Event Profs with Love- and A Guest-Interactive Experience

Blog, Event Industry Businesses & Professionals, Industry Shenanigans / 02.11.20162 comments

unnamed-33I love my job, especially because of events like last night that combine my favorite ingredients of life:  amazing food and beverage, great company …and the pièce de résistance: great humor and fun between everyone.  As a mom who juggles two event businesses and all that life slings at her, you could literally hear the wheels of my car peeling out when the babysitter showed up and I high-tailed it to Catering Connection’s culinary studios last night.  In an industry where our entire focus is taking care of others, it is especially meaningful when someone takes care of us.  And Catering Connection, one of Santa Barbara’s leading full-service caterers who just celebrated their 20th Business Anniversary last year offered to do just that.  As a thank you to those with whom they work, they decided to do more than just drop off a plate of cookies (not that there’s anything wrong with that- I will never turn down a cookie).  They decided to give their event supply partners an evening out- an experience – if you will.

Ashley & Chad | Taft Gardens Sumptuous Mountain Celebration Under the Stars

Blog, Real Weddings / 11.24.20131 comments

ashley happy surprise faceI met Ashley through her beautiful family , who are also event industry colleagues (and now, quite honestly, family) of mine.   She always said she wanted me to be her wedding coordinator if she ever got married and even when she got engaged, I told her that I did not want her to feel obligated in case she would rather work with someone else.  To my delight, she was still insistent that I work with her in helping her orchestrate the day of her wedding and I was so honored.  And so, the journey of being brought into the folds of her and her fiancé, Chad’s, family even deeper began.  And I wouldn’t have had it any other way.  You see, Ashley is also one of my Lead Associates for my own business and helps make me shine with my clients, as well.  She is also one of the most beautiful girls on earth, her radiance coming from her joy that always shines and touches everyone with whom she comes into contact.  So it was only extra thrilling that I was given the opportunity to be of service to her, her (now) husband Chad and their beautiful families for a gorgeous wedding celebration in the mountains of Ojai.

Santa Barbara Wedding at Bacara Resort: Shannon & Jeff

Blog, Real Weddings / 06.15.20111 comments

Santa Barbara has so many wedding locations and choices.  And I love them all.   But one of the things I love most about producing weddings in Santa Barbara is working at the Bacara Resort and Spa.  Located on a bluff overlooking the ocean and Santa Barbara Channel Islands, this resort boasts top notch internationally-acclaimed service and features and brings weddings to a whole new level with their “Bacara Bride” program.

When Shannon and Jeff came to me for their big day, I was smitten.  Both of them were among the kindest people I had ever met.  Shannon had a clear idea of her color and theme and we carried this throughout the entire event.  Her vision was clear:  sea mist cool greens and blues, table names that were popular beach names, sand dollars for escort cards, and instead of favors for guests, they hired caricature artists to do portraits of guests during cockail hour and after dinner.  After the moving toasts by their friends and families, sweet tooths were satisfied with
