Meet Santa Barbara’s Best Industry Professionals | Kirsten VanBrunt of Four Seasons Biltmore

Blog, Event Industry Businesses & Professionals / 11.21.20130 comments

kirsten fsbWhile I’ve known Kirsten for years, I always worked with one of her associates at the Four Seasons Biltmore, Santa Barbara when producing weddings at this gorgeous ocean-front luxury resort.  Recently with a change in the catering department, Kirsten took over my client’s wedding and we had the chance to get to know each other even better.  One of the first things that struck me about Kirsten is her consistent professionalism balanced with a great sense of humor.  She has been a leader at the Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara for years and has earned an incredible reputation as one of Santa Barbara’s best event industry professionals with her attention to detail, direct style and the ability to cultivate relationships.  While many may know the professional side of Kirsten, a look into her personal side may reveal some fun trivia you never knew:

Charlotte & Kevin | Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara Ocean Front Celebration

Blog, Real Weddings / 11.18.20130 comments

The moment I met Charlotte I fell in love.  And so did every event supply partner producing her Santa Barbara Four Seasons Biltmore wedding.  Her (now) husband, Kevin, dazzled us too with his sparkling eyes and love for Charlotte and the two of them truly renewed my love in why it is I am in this industry of weddings.

The main reason I am in the wedding industry may surprise you.  It is not because I’m a die-hard romantic and live vicariously through creating fun and beautiful events for my clients (although that is a part of it).  The leading number one reason I am in the wedding planning industry is because of my love of family.  I interview my potential clients very carefully and during the interview process listen to what is important to the bride and groom.  The number one thing I listen for is their love of family or wanting to make this a day to remember for themselves- and their families.  Charlotte and Kevin were all about their love of their family.  And they chose one of the area’s number one choices for a destination Santa Barbara weddingThe Four Seasons Biltmore.

Great Gatsby Wedding Inspiration, Santa Barbara Style

Blog, Event Planning Advice / 05.05.20135 comments

art deco style dot com great gatsby themeI have always felt akin to vintage style before it was “in” to do so.  Vintage style to me is a return to dramatic presentation with grandeur, elegance and romance- a la old Hollywood glamour.  The black, white and pewter bases with pops of red prove that “over the top” colors all mixed together aren’t necessary.  Keep it simple. Simply dramatic, that is.
