One of my favorite things about this Santa Barbara wine country  wedding at Lincourt Winery was the elegance and multi-cultural aspect my clients and their families brought to this wedding day. Virtually all wineries have an elegance about them, but Lincourt Winery is special – it used to be a dairy farm and the old yellow house that is now the tasting room was an old Sears Craftsman House kit that overlooks the vineyards below and the red barn adjacent. It oozes country charm.  But my favorite thing about Lincourt Winery weddings?  So little decor is needed.  The backdrop is already set with vines and in the distance, the Santa Ynez mountains and beautiful sweeping blue skies cradle Lincourt Winery in their arms.  And don’t even get me started about having a wedding at this charming location under a full moon.  It  is simply other-worldly, if you are lucky enough to have that epic experience.

I had the honor of working with a talented, smart attorney-in – training bride  Becky and her already- attorney fiance, Imran.  Becky’s parents are Chinese. Imran and his family are Pakistani.  One of the things I loved most about working with Becky and Imran was their sweet disposition , intelligence and their sense of humor.  I absolutely adored them.  They quickly won favor with all their event supply partners, too, and everyone was eager to make this day over the top for this hard-working and dedicated couple.  During our initial interview, Becky won me over with this simple statement “We want our families and guests to feel our love and appreciation for them as they celebrate with us.”  I said to her, “When can I begin for you?”

Becky and Imran liked the already-rustic and natural setting of Lincourt Winery.  In fact, they got engaged there.  She wanted all decor to be completely understated and be something that either was taken from – or looked like it was taken-  from the already-existing florals in wine country.  Any supplemental decor should be rustic and not take away from the setting.  This is what I generally recommend for outdoor vineyard weddings.  When nature has provided such a backdrop, why would you want to re-do it or overpower it?  As you will see by the photos below, all event suppliers provided this look for her, with Renae Brubaker from Renae’s Bouquet (located and specializing in wine country events and decor) as head designer “sealing the deal” with Becky’s florals and whimsical signs like “Eat, Drink and Be Married” placed in fun spots throughout the location.

Santa Barbara’s  elite, full-service caterer Pure Joy Catering oversaw all of the detail refining the menu , look and feel until it was just exactly what Becky and Imran had envisioned and the dedicated team of Pure Joy oversaw this wedding day from start to finish.  When Pure Joy Catering produces an event, it is consistently fresh and delicious.  Owner Lynette LaMere actually goes to farmer’s market and looks forward to doing so – every Saturday – to ensure her event clients get nothing but the most exquisite and fresh fare for their wedding day. Becky and Imran’s guests enjoyed a gorgeous Pre-Ceremony Welcome Bar while they took in the vineyard vistas:  Ginger Pineapple Fizz with Fresh Pineapple Wedges, Berry Spritzer with Garnish of Farmer’s Market Berries;  Fresh-Squeezed Cherry Lemonade with Lemon Slices and Cherry Garnish. Post ceremony, appetizers included Caprese Skewers, Mesquite Grilled Shrimp with Citrus Mint Dipping Sauce and Bamboo Skewered Curried Coconut Chicken with Mongolian Dipping Sauce.  The bountiful dinner buffet included decor customized just for Becky and Imran’s feel and theme and included Local Salad Greens, Farmer’s Market Strawberries, Toasted Pecans and Goat Cheese with Balsamic Vinaigrette, Cascading Baskets of Freshly Baked Rolls and Breads, Platters of Freshly Grilled Summer Vegetables, Portabello Mushroom Raviolis, Pan Sauteed Halibut with Red Wine Butter Reduction and at the end of the buffet, Chef hand-carved a gorgeous medium rare Tri Tip of Beef with Madeira Green Peppercorn Sauce.  Lincourt wines were chosen carefully by groom Imran to complement the dinner and ensure his guests were having the ultimate wine country dining experience.

From Lincourt Winery to Pure Joy Catering, Ventura Party Rentals (Ranchero dining tables for guests), Decadence Wedding Cakes, Classic Motoring Car Rentals providing the vintage and romantic touch for bridal party transportation with a 1941 Cadillac Coupe, AMS Entertainment providing ceremony, cocktail, dinner and dancing music as well as specialty uplighting for the event area and lighting for the guests in the parking lot to Floral and Whimsical touches by Renae’s Bouquet, this was another all-star event supply partner cast.  We are so grateful to photographer Summer Scotland, who provided most of the images in this BLOG and who helped capture the day as it unfolded.

But enough words.  Enjoy the images below.
